It has been 7 years (October 2012) since I was awarded my PhD from Ghent university. I continued work in a research related position since then, first as a post-doc and later as a DC Water employee. At this moment, Dr. De Clippeleir is the research program manager for DC Water. Within this role she oversees the research efforts at Blue Plains related to technology development in area of intensification and resource recovery, process optimization and process control for enhanced carbon recovery, nutrient removal, solids handling and odor control, and development of data analytics based approaches for process optimization within water and wastewater applications. She strives to improve and accelerate knowledge transfer and technology implementation of new technologies within the wastewater field.
