Dr. Christopher Wilson currenlty serves as Chief of Process Engineering and Research for Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD), assisting in the advising and management of research conducted by approximately 15 graduate researchers working on diverse projects ranging from advanced digestion and solids management to indirect potable reuse and managed aquifer recharge.  He also serves as the chief process engineer for HRSD and oversees treatment, residuals management, and resource recovery operations for 16 treatment facilities with a combined permitted capacity of 249 million gallons per day. 

Dr. Christopher Wilson has 12 years of post-graduate experience in the design and operation of wastewater treatment and residual solids management facilities as both a consulting engineer and public utility manager.  He is currently appointed as an adjunct member of the faculties of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and Old Dominion University (ODU) and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
